We are currently looking for a permanent full-time Senior Client Service Specialist to join our local Employee Benefits Team of approximately 30 skilled individuals. Our team is located at our Winnipeg Head Office at 1661 Portage Ave.

As a Senior Client Service Specialist, you will be involved in large complex employer group traditional and/or flexible benefits plans and will:

  • Communicate with Clients, Employees and Carriers.

  • Provide superior customer service support to Consultants, Clients and Employees.

  • Attend Client meetings.

  • Draft Employee communications.

  • Write/prepare marketing reports and other reports as needed.

  • Conduct Employee meetings and presentations in person and/or virtual.

  • Create Client and/or Employee presentations.

  • Review contracts, booklets, amendments, and financial statements.

  • Prepare market specifications, summarize, and analyze quotations.

  • Provide benefit solutions and alternatives to Consultants.

  • Prepare benefit costing alternatives.

  • Undertake cost share analysis reviews.

  • Peer review other team members’ work.

  • Coordinate the client service offering for your assigned Clients including assignments of other team members.

Qualifications:

  • 5 to 7 years experience in a group insurance environment such as an insurance company, consulting firm working with large sized clients (100+ employees), or as a benefits plan administrator for an employer

  • Proficient Microsoft Excel skills with ability to apply formulas

  • Proficient with Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical, organizational, mathematical and prioritizing skills

  • Comfortable communicating with Clients, Employees and insurance carriers

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Able to handle multiple deadlines and priorities

  • Strong team player and able to work independently

  • Commitment to education and ongoing development, as demonstrated by GBA designation

Not required, but would be an asset:

  • Life licensed.

  • Group underwriting experience.

  • Renewal negotiation and/or analysis experience.

  • Experience with insurance management software.

  • Availability of an automobile and valid Manitoba Driver’s License.
