Civility in the Workplace goes way beyond being nice to each other. And in the new world of work, traditional manners just might get you into trouble. One of the important ways civility training differs from typical workplace culture training is that when done well, civility training is just one part of a workplace change initiative- that is, to build a culture of civility, organizations must work to embed civility in their mission, values, policies, procedures, hiring practices, communication plan, and strategic goals, as well as in their organizational training plan.
