Service Insurance Advisor

The Service Insurance Advisor reports to the Service Leader.  As the Service Insurance Advisor, you will be responsible for assisting customers with policy and claims-related inquiries and up-selling/retaining PHI policies with existing customers.

Who We’re Looking for:

  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills

  • You’re versed in navigating multiple computer programs at once

  • You’re experienced at achieving individual and team goals

  • You have proven ability to recognize sales opportunities in a contact center environment

  • You have excellent customer service skills

Your Responsibilities:

Service (90%):

  • Recommending and up-selling PHI policies, focusing on retention and growing customer base to meet established targets

  • Promoting and educating prospective customers on PHI via inbound, outbound and online programs

  • Responding to, advocating and resolving customer inquiries in regards to policy details and claims, in collaboration with functional specialists in Customer Care, Claims and Underwriting

  • Capturing notes on customer interactions using the PAWS System and following up with customers to obtain accurate information

  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance team on continuous improvement of service and sales protocols and standards

Sales (10%):

  • Executing the sales process to recommend and bind PHI policies via inbound and outbound calls to deliver upon individual and team sales targets (# sales, closing ratio)

  • Conducting customer needs analysis to determine appropriate insurance products and coverage levels

  • Collaborating with Quality Assurance team on continuous improvement of sales and service protocols and standards

  • Capturing notes on customer interactions using the PAWS System and following up with customers to obtain accurate information

Your Skills & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • CAIB 2 Designation

  • General Insurance License, Level 1 OR Level 2

  • As part of the selection process, this role requires candidates to successfully clear a Criminal Background Check in order to be offered the position.
